Pujas at the Ashram
Every day early in the morning, Swami Abhedananda has been offering Rudra-abhishek and elaborate pujas at the Shiva temple in the ashram. Few devotees also join these pujas on a regular basis and have been earning the grace of Lord Shiva. These continuous prayers offered by Swamiji have been greatly instrumental in bringing enormous peace, prosperity and spiritual upliftment to the ashram.
With the single-pointed sankalpa of bringing peace, prosperity and growth to the Ashram in Durban, Swami Abhedananda started “Vishnu Sahasranama Archana” as a new community program since New Year eve on 31st Dec 2006. As part of this monthly program, Vishnu Sahasranam archana is organized on every first Sunday of the month. A large number of mission members and devotees gather to perform the archana conducted by Swamiji, which is followed by a short discourse.
In last 2 years, the monthly Vishnu Sahasranama Archana program has brought in so many new people into the Mission, and all the members and devotees feel greatly inspired, bonded and rejuvenated to serve Pujya Gurudev’s vision.
Chinmaya Mission of Durban is proud to announce the starting of two more Pujas from January 2009. These are –
- “Gayatri Hawan” Every third Sunday of the month.
- “Vishnu Sahasranam Puja” Every first Sunday of the month.
The timings of these Pujas will be shortly announced. For more information, please contact our Mission centre.
