Brahmachari Vandan Chaitanya is currently posted at Chinmaya Mission Durban, South Africa. He has completed a Master’s Degree in Technology in Homoeopathy from the Durban University of Technology.  Vandan had a desire to pursue a monastic life for many years and feels extremely blessed to be initiated as a brahmachari of the Chinmaya Mission monastic order as well have the opportunity to study our sacred scriptures under the tutelage of Pujya Swami Abhedanandaji.

Vandan visited the Chinmaya Ashram in Durban on a few occasions prior to the commencement of the 2 year residential Vedanta Course and is grateful to a devotee for his role in Vandan doing the Vedanta Course.

Vandan will always be indebted to Pujya Swami Abhedanandaji and the Chinmaya Mission for everything that he has received, and desires that he may one day become a worthy instrument to serve God and Guru in whatever manner they will.

Brahmacharini Gauri Chaitanya is currently posted at Chinmaya Mission Durban, South Africa. She has a Diploma in Business Administration.

Her fascination towards the Chinmaya Mission drew her to the ashram in Durban, where she was involved as a sevika and attended daily classes and camps. In 2015, she joined the first ever two year residential Vedanta Course at Chinmaya Mission of South Africa, Durban, under the guidance of Pujya Swami Abhedanandaji.

On the auspicious occasion on Maha Shivaratri, 24 February 2017, she was conferred brahmacharya deeksha under the name Brni. Gauri Chaitanya. She is currently serving at the Durban Ashram and its functioning.

Her association with the Chinmaya Mission of South Africa since August 2010 sparked her inner seeker and this saw co-ordinating Balvihar classes and camps, attending Vedanta and daily satsangs. This led her to staying full time at the Ashram. In 2015, she joined the first ever two year residential Vedanta Course at Chinmaya Mission of South Africa, Durban, under the guidance of Pujya Swami Abhedanandaji.

On the auspicious occasion on Maha Shivaratri, 24 February 2017, she was conferred brahmacharya deeksha under the name Brni. Kaushiki Chaitanya. She is currently in charge of Balvihar weekly classes and bi-monthly camps. Her passion for Balvihar has spread to her taking four classes a week at local Primary Schools in the Chatsworth Area. She also assist in monthly Vishnu Sahasranaam Archana and Gayatri Havan.

Brahmacharini Keertida Chaitanya is currently posted at Chinmaya Mission Johannesburg, South Africa. She completed her tertiary education in 2015. Her devotion towards Pujya Gurudev led her to being involved in CHYK Activities, Vedanta and monthly yagnas. In 2015, she joined the first ever two year residential Vedanta Course at Chinmaya Mission of South Africa, Durban, under the guidance of Pujya Swami Abhedanandaji.

On the auspicious occasion on Maha Shivaratri, 24 February 2017, she was conferred brahmacharya deeksha under the name Brni. Keertida Chaitanya. She is currently conducting daily Vedanta classes, weekly Bhagawad Geeta, Ramayana and CHYK classes, as well as monthly conducting of Vishnu Sahasranaam Archana and Gayatri Havan at the Ashram. She has also conducted talks at Pretoria and took house satsangs.

Brahmacharini Madhavi Chaitanya is currently posted at Chinmaya Mission Cape Town, South Africa. Her studies post matric include Graphics design, one year Counseling course at University of South Africa and BCom management for two years. 

Inspired by Pujya Swami Abhdenandaji and by her association with Chinmaya Mission over many years, she was involved in CHYK Activities, Vedanta and daily satsangs. This led her to staying full time at the Ashram. In 2015, she joined the first ever two year residential Vedanta Course at Chinmaya Mission of South Africa, Durban, under the guidance of Pujya Swami Abhedanandaji. 

On the auspicious occasion on Maha Shivaratri, 24 February 2017, she was conferred brahmacharya deeksha under the name Brni. Madhavi Chaitanya. She is currently conducting daily Bhagawad Geeta and Ramayana classes, weekly Samskrit class, as well as monthly conducting of Vishnu Sahasranaam Archana and Gayatri Havan at the Ashram in Cape Town. She has also conducted talks at University of Cape Town, New Castle and Ladysmith areas.

Brahmachari Abhijit Chaitanya had first been introduced to the Chinmaya Mission during Ramayan talks delivered by Swami Abhedananda ji in 2008. He was immediately captivated by Swamiji’s deep love for the Lord and his divine insight into the scriptures. 

Thereafter Abhijit ji started attending regularly, the classes and other activities of the Ashram. Abhijit ji then studied full time when a six month Residential Vedanta Course was conducted by Swami Abhedananda ji at Not long afterwards, he took the blessings of Pujya Swami Tejomayanda ji, to attend the 15th Batch of Two year Vedanta Course at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya, India in August 2011. 

After completing his studies in October 2013, he was conferred Brahmachari Deeksha and was posted to Chinmaya Mission Durban, South Africa where he currently serves the mission under the loving guidance of Swami Abhedananda ji.

Abhijit ji currently conducts Bhagawad Geeta classes at the Ashram in Reservoir Hills and devotedly assists Swamiji in the various ashram activities and classes.
